Céleste Boursier-Mougenot

Five Les Pauls, thirty birds. Parisian artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is obsessed with spaces where the secret rhythms of the ordinary readily collide. From an upcoming exhibit at London's Barbican Gallery:

"For his installation in The Curve, Boursier-Mougenot creates a walk-though aviary for a flock of zebra finches, furnished with electric guitars and other musical instruments. As the birds go about their routine activities, perching on or feeding from the various pieces of equipment, they create a captivating, live soundscape."

Man I'm not one for modern art, but this actually seems kind of cool. I may in fact have to make it a point to go check it out.
