Drop Me Off In Harlem

Painstakingly rad gifs are animator Mark Portillo's bread & butter. From his blog, Drop Me Off In Harlem, comes a stream-of-consciousness collection of goofy non-sequiturs and even goofier portraits. The 25 year-old NY-native animates greyscale WTFs in a low-res style familiar to anyone who still remembers ICQ. There's even a welcome contradiction underlying Portillo's gifs: the simple punchlines rely on enormous, intricately drawn images that betray the effort put into animating them. C'maaaaaaan.
